The story of Farhad, a humble craftsman in the Ottoman Empire, captures timeless love and sacrifice. In admiration of Queen Shirin, he carved a beautiful portrait of her into rock. When he was deceived into believing she
had died, Farhad, heartbroken, carved a final message and shed a tear on the stone. From that tear, a red tulip bloomed, symbolizing eternal love.
